Never Use AT&T Home Entertainment

As far as I can tell, AT&T Home Entertainment hates their customers, or at least hates anyone thats tries to cancel on them.  I did receive free HBO, Shotime, and Cinemax for the 2 years I used them due to their incompetence, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much.  But after two months of fighting with them, I’ve just had enough.  I had an incredibly long story written out detailing what happened, but I decided it was too long and boring, so heres the condensed version.  AT&T Home Entertainment thought that I had two cable boxes instead of one.  Instead of sending my an invoice to my forwarding address that I gave them, they immediately sent it to a debt collector.  I called AT&T and told them I only had one cable box, and they said they understood and would take care of it.  Two months later and its still not taken care of.  I’ve made over a dozen phone calls on this now and AT&T said that, they have sent multiple emails and a couple of faxes to the debt collector to inform them that my debt is cleared, but when I tell the debt collector that they say they never heard anything from AT&T and that I’m a liar trying to cheat them out of their money.  I found out that calling me a liar and a cheat is the way to set me off because I don’t yell at people often, but I let that operator have it.

I just contacted AT&T again, and they said they’re sending it to their manager and he will make sure it gets taken care of.  I guess I’ll find out tommorrow.  I’ll give them to the end of the week before I file a complaint about the debt collector with the better business bereau.  I’ve just had enough of this and want it to end.  The really annoying thing is that this whole hassle never would of happened if they just sent me a final bill instead of immediately sending it to a debt collector.

when you send your equipment back make sure to keep your tracking #. Those bastards charged me $880.0 for their equipment that I had sent back, somehow the warehouse lost my receivers (after someone from AT&T had said they had received it and would refund me my money)- Anyhoo, it took me 6 months to get my money back, i was calling them on a weekly basis. Finally I threatened to gang up on them with fellow customers who has ‘lost equipment’ as well….i also complained to my building.

the lesson of the story—> NEVER use AT&T HE, and NEVER trust a word they say .
